Campbelltown City Soccer Club is pleased to announce a partnership with Amadio Wines for the 2019 season.

Amadio Wines, located on Payneham Road, Felixstow, has had a long standing personal connection to Campbelltown City SC, with the Club delighted to bring the two together on a professional level.

Amadio Wines Managing Director, Danniel Amadio, told of the relationship between his family and Campbelltown City SC and the desire to continue the bond in 2019.

“My grandfather, Donato Di Cesare, was a keen follower of soccer and took every opportunity to follow his beloved Campbelltown City,” he said.

“The Campbelltown City Soccer Club officially started in 1963 and Don’s mates were the Centofanti’s ,Mitolo’s, Ciccocioppo’s, Tirimacco’s Leombruno’s and other “Paesani“.

“Pasquale Tirimacco was about 33 years old and had kidney disease. According to my mum, he was a calm, lovely man, well-liked by one and all as was his wife and family.

“Pasquale became the first successful Transplant recipient in SA. This transplant happened at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital on the 21st February 1965 when Domenic Centofanti gave a kidney to his son-in-law, Mr Peter (Pasquale) Tirimacco.

“Why is this information important? It shows the loyalty, support and commitment which has always been the solid foundation of the CCSC.

“The Fundraising for Pasquale, for the Players Gear, for whatever the players and coaches needed. Tough times, great supporters, everyone trying to do what they could is what a club is all about.

“Watching Soccer games at Campbelltown City Soccer Club, on Stradbroke Road (back then called Bells Road) was what Mum waited for each week. To be with her Dad Don and meet up with her friends, Josie (Pina) Mitolo and her siblings (Luigi Mitolo’s children) who were all passionate supporters. CCSC could do no wrong. They all suffered if CCSC lost.

“As a father of two boys today who love the game and enjoy playing for CCSC it was important that I continue our family heritage and relations with such a wonderful sporting club.

“For me it’s just not a sports club but a great community of people who all share the same views and values in life “La Famiglia”.

“Campbelltown City SC and Amadio Wines partnership for 2019 and beyond, I believe, will be a great match together and we look forward to many events and celebrations through the upcoming season.”
