The National Playoffs for the 2010 Manchester United Premier Cup (Under 15) were held in Melbourne over the weekend of 10th/11th April

The competition featured Bulleen Lions (Victoria), Sutherland Sharks (NSW), Loganholme (Qld) and North Coast (NNSW) as well as the South Australian playoff winner in Campbelltown City Red Devils

Campbelltown City put in an impressive effort over the two day event, but came just short of a Finals spot, with Sutherland beating Bulleen 3-0 in the Final

The teams arrived on Friday and were taken to the Nike Offices in Abbotsford, where each player was presented with their own Nike strip to be worn during the event. The teams were treated to an opening ceremony dinner where a live draw was conducted for the fixtures

“On behalf of Campbelltown City Soccer Club we would like to express our gratitude and sincere thanks to Nike and all their staff involved for organising such a wonderful tournament. The hospitality and friendship and facilities we as South Australians experienced was fantastic,” said Campbelltown City Coaching Director Roger Gentile

“The mate ship between some of the players and officials amongst the teams really showed that this game can really change lives. It was great to see players from all states sharing their experiences

The players learnt from their experience, how it should be and how it needs to be to compete at top level. They all grew as individuals,” mentioned Gentile

Sutherland now take on East Coast Bays from New Zealand to determine the Pacific winner, with the winner to travel to Manchester to take on some of the 20 best teams in the World playoffs
