Club Announcement - Technical Directors at Campbelltown City Soccer Club for 2017

Earlier this year the Club lost the services of Michael Matricciani as Technical Director due to his appointment as the High Performance Coach to the Australian College of Sports Football and the Coach of the Women’s NTC Team

Since Michael’s departure, the Club has embarked on a due diligence process to find a replacement Technical Director

Part of this due diligence process was to look at the Club structure and size, and determine the exact needs of the Club to ensure that every team, both JPL and JSL, in every age group is given the technical and consistent direction, to ensure the proper development and success of the players and teams. A critical aspect of this is also to provide the coaches with continuous education, mentoring and support in order to be able to achieve these outcomes. The Technical Director role will be responsible for these duties

Our due diligence process determined that the Club, with 43 teams, 5 Senior Men’s and Women’s teams and 38 Junior teams from Under 6 to Under 17, was too large for the one Technical Director to be able to direct and implement all the duties required. As such, the Club has decided that the 38 Junior teams would be split into two categories – Under 6 to Under 11 and Under 12 to Under 17 – and two Technical Directors would be appointed to ensure the proper and diligent execution of the technical program.

After considering applications and interviewing the applicants, the Club is very pleased to announce that it has appointed Paolo Maio as the Technical Director of the Under 6 to Under 11 age group, and Domenic Pipicella as the Technical Director of the Under 12 to Under 17 age group. Both Paolo and Domenic will be working collaboratively to achieve and implement an excellent technical program for the Club in 2017

Congratulations to both Paolo and Domenic. The Club looks forward to a successful relationship with you both
